May 01, 2012 I have been using the D-LINK DAP-1360 strictly as a REPEATER and range extender, not an access point, as I bought it because wireless signal strength in offices and hotel conference center locations can often be weak. The setup software for the DAP-1360 is a little weird, but once you have set it up it is not an issue. Find the default login, username, password, and ip address for your D-Link DAP-1360L router. You will need to know then when you get a new router, or when you reset your router.

The first thing you need to do once your PC is connected to the extender is to check your TCP/IP settings. To do so, open a command prompt window (ie: Start >> Run >> type cmd and hit Enter) and perform the following command:
ipconfig /all
If your IP is not in the same subnet (192.168.0.XXX - where XXX is any number between 1 and 254 excluding the IP of the extender .50) then you will need to manually set it to one. You do want to use the same subnet mask in both cases (255.255.255.0). The DNS setting won't matter so don't worry about it.
Once both your PC's interface and the extender are in the same subnet, they will be able to communicate and you'll be able to get into the management interface using your web browser and then be able to change the extender to the correct TCP/IP settings.
Example TCP/IP settings:

It matters not how straight the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.
